Very good home cooking! Ideal for stopping off after a mountain tour

We lacked nothing. Super delicious food, great view of the mountains and very friendly staff. Our little puppy was also very welcome. Highly recommended and keep it up!

By far the best restaurant on our vacation in Berchtesgaden. Despite the stress, the waiters are super relaxed, you can always have a casual conversation and expect tips about what to eat. The food itself was outstanding. Freshly cooked, good portions and lovingly arranged. When we're back in the corner, the Gasthof Bodner will be reserved every evening :)

You are the best - from the extremely nice service to the excellent cuisine, we have been to you 3 times and are absolutely thrilled. Should it ever bring us to Schönau again, you are our first choice. Keep it up, it's a pleasure to be your guest 😊👍👍👍

Very friendly staff and the food came very quickly too. Unfortunately the food was a little too little for the price / performance ratio. E.g. There were only two small slices of crust roast with very little crust. The ambience was very pleasant despite the winter garden. The food in general seemed more heated than freshly prepared.

Once there, it is a must to come back ..... everything freshly prepared and from our own breeding, every piece of meat is checked by the chefs. The staff is very courteous and is always at the guest's side when asked ... every additional request is fulfilled ..... price vs. Performance .... TOP ...

Very tasty food, the staff is quick and always friendly, you can tell that the atmosphere in the team is just right and that transfers to the guests. Even when the place is full, the food comes to the table relatively quickly and very hot!

Some locations and "insider tips" were recommended to us in advance of the trip, this place was (surprisingly) not included. Great food, very courteous service, everything at reasonable prices. Clear recommendation! ATTENTION: Reservation can't hurt!

Very friendly and courteous staff. Dogs are also welcome there. Unfortunately we caught a bit of bad weather and the beer garden was closed earlier. But there's nothing you can do about it if the weather doesn't cooperate. Food was very good. But you should reserve in advance.

We never came to eat with you. My husband was with you at noon and wanted to reserve a table for 6pm. He was told there would be no table left. We should come by at 8 p.m., there would always be a table free. When we came around 20 we were turned away because we had not made reservations. Unfortunately we had to leave hungry and with a growling stomach.

Very nice terrace that can also be used when it rains. Toilets very nicely renovated and clean. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. Children's menu available. Unfortunately, only a few vegetarian choices during our visit. Service nice.

Such a great and warm service! The landlord himself looks past the tables and briefly greets the guests personally. The food is excellent. Beef from own keeping & deer from the Königssee. There is also a selection for vegetarians. I can recommend the poacher plate (venison roast, venison pork and venison goulash with delicious red cabbage, great homemade sauce and homemade bread dumplings. The Sauerbraten and venison roulade were also great. Table reservations are advisable. You can sit in the dining room (we had a nice niche), in the veranda or outside, highly recommended !! P.S. the price was great too!

Highly recommended, both dishes (see photos) were delicious. Prices were reasonable. Restaurant is quite big and it was full. You should reserve as a precaution. The service was very friendly and attentive. Corona regulations were implemented, all employees had mouth and nose protection on, tables and cards were cleaned. Unfortunately not a matter of course. Very tasty and above all cheap food. Hardly any waiting times for the food, even with high visitor numbers. The waitresses are super friendly and accommodating. The super tasty Kaiserschmarrn is highly recommended. Reservation of a table is required, otherwise it can happen that you cannot get a seat. We would love to come back.

Were with you for dinner. Top quality, food was excellent, prices cheap, atmosphere pleasant, the waitresses very, very friendly and quick. Always happy. Highly recommended .

I had no booking so I had to sit in the bar. No problem with that. Problem is that service was not good, as I suppose they were too busy. Food, was ok only because I was hungry. Sauce had a light taste as when it burns in the saucepan. Maybe I was wrong with what I ordered

We got lucky eating here as we didn’t have reservations (we had been turned away at two other places.) So glad we were because we loved the warm cozy atmosphere here, the cold and delicious beer and the amazing spaetzle with mushroom sauce!! Everyone kept eating bites of my dinner! I keep dreaming of this delicious meal.

Highly recommend this place. Reservation necessary / recommend otherwise you're running danger of having to wait for a free space. Food very good, staff and waiters very friendly and quick. Price is very reasonable for the size. PS: we booked in advance and had our dinner there 3 days in a row as it one of the better places we found.

We got there at 17:30 and they were already full. Make reservations or get there by 17:00, on a weekend at least. Food was good and service was good considering the crowd.

Restaurant to feel good. There were two of us with a dog for dinner. We sat outside. It's very cozy, the wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Changing the side dishes is not a problem (fried potatoes instead of baked potatoes). The view and the food are great. The rump steak was awesome! Tender, juicy and delicious. Meat from our own cattle. The fried potatoes were crispy and the hit ... The venison goulash was delicious too. Price / performance is right. We recommend!

If you don’t have a reservation, I would recommend arriving early as the restaurant fills up very quickly but they do accommodate for walk-ins. The service was friendly and quick, with food arriving within 20 minutes of ordering. Everything tasted good and the portion sizes are large and filling. The owner came around to check on everyone which was a friendly touch to the service. Lovely views of the surrounding mountains can be had from window seats or the patio.

Typical German Restaurant, reservation is possible, Chef came out constantly asked if the dishes were good. Schnitzel is good, but rum-steak is a bit uneven cooked, too juicy. Jacket potato is delicious, inside is very creamy flavor. Service is okay, dishes served fast with good price.

Food and service is good except my rumpsteak is to hard. It didn't taste like a medium. The beer is very good. Prices are also acceptable. Nice restaurant!
